Dinners

Spirited Social Change started off as a monthly meal and dialogue in East Vancouver, exploring the intersection of ‘spirituality’ and social change. Over the course of Fall 2012 we will begin to chat with other neighbourhoods about helping to launch dinners in other locations. For now, read below and join us.

WHAT:

Our monthly meals are a chance to meet your neighbours and reconnect with familiar faces, to slow down and remember what feeds your work, to eat and sing together, and to re-engage in strategic and fulfilling ways.

WHO:

It’s for activists, organizers, artists, nurturers, students, leaders, and those who are still trying to figure it all out. It’s for people trying to find purpose and meaning beyond the limits of consumerism and self-interest. People longing to live out their values in more impactful and effective ways. People deeply engaged in social change work, and tired as heck from it. People who sometimes experience despair at the state of the world, yet keep getting out of bed each morning to make it better.

It’s intentionally inter-cultural, inter-spiritual, and inter-generational. So show up with your whole self – and bring your grandparents, neighbours, kids, and friends.
